Most of those who comprise the Christian world believe that if they accept Jesus in this
life, then when they die they will go to heaven, but Jesus (Yahshua) came preaching the
"kingdom of God": Mark 1:14 ¶ Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into
Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
He was not preaching about going to heaven, but about the "kingdom of God". He was
telling those who would hear how that one could enter the kingdom. Mt 19:24 And again
I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich
man to enter into the kingdom of God. Mr 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his
words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them
that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
Mr 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the
kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: {offend...: or,
cause thee to offend}
Mr 10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little
child, he shall not enter therein.
Ac 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the
faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Yahshua (Jesus) came preaching the gospel (good news) of the "Kingdom of God" and
saying, "believe the gospel". Why is it that so many who claim to be followers of Jesus
Christ (Christians) believe that they are going to heaven? They speak of going to
heaven instead of entering the "kingdom". Jesus did not bring the "good news" of
going to heaven.
What is the "Kingdom of God?" Is it synonymous with "going to heaven?" Do they both
mean the same?
Here on this earth we have the 'animal kingdom', and the 'kingdom of man' which is
superior to the animal kingdom. There is another kingdom that is superior to the
kingdom of man, and that is the God kingdom, or the "kingdom of God". When we are
born into this world we enter the kingdom of man, we are the sons or daughters of
human beings. When we are born again at a resurrection we are born into the spirit
world and we enter the kingdom of God and are the sons of God.
Where will those be who enter the kingdom of God at the resurrection of the just ? Lets
look in Revelation to see the answer:
Re 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them:
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the
word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had
received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned
with Christ a thousand years.
Where will this reign be? Re 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto
the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the
seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every
kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings
and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
According to these scriptures those who are resurrected into the "Kingdom of God" do
not go to heaven, but stay on this earth.
Jesus shows in the passage below when he is talking to the Sadducees about the
resurrection, that it is the time when one enters into the spirit world.
Lu 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the
resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Lu 20:36 Neither
can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God,
being the children of the resurrection.
Notice Jesus said they were resurrected from the dead. At that time they obtain or enter
that other world, that is, those who are counted worthy, that other world being the spirit
world. They are spirit beings like the angels are, only they are not angels but the
children (Sons) of God.
Paul wrote about this also : 1 Cor 15: 35 ¶ But someone will say, How do the dead come
back? and with what sort of body do they come?
36 Foolish man, it is necessary for the seed which you put into the earth to undergo
death in order that it may come to life again:
37 And when you put it into the earth, you do not put in the body which it will be, but only
the seed, of grain or some other sort of plant;
38 But God gives it a body, as it is pleasing to him, and to every seed its special body.
15:44, It is sown a natural (physical) body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural
body, and there is a spiritual body.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward
that which is spiritual. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy (natural or
physical) we shall also bear the image of the heavenly..
They will look like Jesus does now. How does He look now?
Rev. 1:12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw
seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto
the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a
golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his
eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a
furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand
seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance
was as the sun shining in full strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead.
And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and
have the keys of hell and of death.
This is how Yahshua (Jesus) appeared to John, and the scripture says that those who are
in the resurrection of the just will look like Him.
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall
be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as
he is.
He says He has the keys of hell and of death. In other words He has power over hell (the
grave) and death. As He said in John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in
the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that
have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the
resurrection of judgment.
Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me,
though he were dead, yet shall he live:
The "Kingdom of God" is a spirit world composed of spirit beings. These beings will rule
the earth with Yahshua (Jesus) who is the King over that spirit world. The Father is
supreme over all. Everything is subject to the Father including Jesus the Messiah.
